Leclerc from Ferrari Secures Pole Position for Monaco Grand Prix

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc secured pole position at the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix in 2024, bringing him his third pole position in Monaco. The 26-year-old Monegasque driver set a best lap time of 1:10.270, beating McLaren’s Oscar Piastri by 0.154 seconds. This ended Max Verstappen’s streak of seven consecutive pole positions this season. Despite struggling, Verstappen managed to finish sixth fastest in the qualifying session. The World championship leader faced challenges for Red Bull during the qualifying session.

The Monaco Grand Prix is a prestigious event held on the narrow streets of the Principality, making overtaking difficult. The top drivers, including Spaniard Carlos Sainz of Ferrari and British driver Lando Norris of McLaren, are lined up on the second row for the race.
