Jeev Milkha Singh, a Dubai Golden Visa holder and CEO of Dubai Golf, Chris May, hosted a senior golfer, Mark Mouland, at the HSBC India Legends Championship. The tournament, sanctioned by the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), is taking place at the Jaypee Greens Golf Club. Singh mentioned his media responsibilities ahead of the championship and his excitement for the competition, which includes major champions like Michael Campbell. He also expressed his eagerness to see how Indian golfers, such as Jyoti Randhawa, perform in the event. This tournament is the 11th out of 19 on the Legends Tour 2024 schedule.

Singh highlighted his preparations for the tournament, including practicing on the range and working on his putting. He commended the golf course at Jaypee Greens, designed by Greg Norman, and expressed his anticipation for the competition. Singh also acknowledged the support of the Indian media and shared his interactions with fellow players like Mark Moulland. He emphasized the significance of the event for Indian golfers, showcasing their skills against the best on the Legends Tour.

As part of the pre-tournament activities, Singh attended the Pro-Am prize presentation and welcomed dinner, where he interacted with veteran golfers and officials. He discussed the level of competition in the field, with several Legends Tour winners and event champions participating. Singh mentioned that the Legends Tour has become the top golf tour on YouTube, with over 1.75 million subscribers, surpassing the PGA Tour in subscriber numbers. He expressed his excitement for the start of the tournament and his contributions to media coverage through collaboration with the PGTI.

Singh reflected on the growth of the Legends Tour and its increasing popularity on digital platforms like YouTube. He also highlighted the challenges and rewards of professional golf, noting the competitive nature of the sport. Singh praised fellow Indian golfers, such as Jyoti Randhawa and Mukesh Kumar, for their achievements and qualification for the tournament. He shared his focus on physical and mental preparation for the upcoming competition and expressed his optimism for his performance in the event. Overall, Singh’s experience at the HSBC India Legends Championship reflects his dedication to the sport and his commitment to showcasing Indian talent on the international stage.
