The IPL playoffs are set to take place with Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins and Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine facing off for a place in the final. Cummins and Mitchell Starc are the two highest-paid players in the league, with Cummins breaking the record with a $2.5 million price tag, which Starc exceeded with $2.98 million. Hyderabad finished second in the league after defeating Punjab Kings, while Kolkata topped the table.

The clash between the two teams will determine who will advance to the final at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad. The losing team will get a second chance in the eliminator against either Rajasthan Royals or Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The final will precede the T20 World Cup, where Cummins led Australia to victory in the 50-over World Cup last year.

Cummins has been instrumental in Hyderabad’s victories with his leadership and lower-order batting contributions, while Starc has proven his worth with match-winning bowling performances. Kolkata’s challenge will be to fill in the void left by Phil Salt, who has joined England’s T20 World Cup squad. Sunrisers also have explosive batters in Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen, while Kolkata will rely on the crafty off-spin of Sunil Narine.

The match is set to take place on Tuesday in Ahmedabad, with Kolkata Knight Riders facing Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Qualifier 1. Both teams have strong lineups, with Kolkata fielding players like Shreyas Iyer, Andre Russell, and Mitchell Starc. Sunrisers have the likes of Travis Head, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Abhishek Sharma in their squad. The clash promises to be a thrilling encounter with both teams vying for a spot in the final.

The IPL playoffs mark the business end of the tournament, with teams looking to put their best foot forward to secure a spot in the final. With the T20 World Cup just around the corner, players will be looking to gain form and momentum in the closing stages of the IPL. Kolkata’s fans will be hoping for more magic from Sunil Narine, who has been a standout performer with both bat and ball in the league.

Overall, the clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad promises to be an intense and exciting encounter, with both teams aiming to secure a place in the final. The match will feature some of the biggest names in the game, including Cummins, Starc, and Narine, who will be key players for their respective teams. As the IPL playoffs get underway, cricket fans can expect a high-octane showdown between two formidable sides.
