Manchester City’s Josko Gvardiol helped his team close in on a fourth consecutive Premier League title by scoring in their 4-0 win against Fulham. The victory also saw Burnley get relegated from the top flight after a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham. Luton are also on the brink of relegation after suffering a 3-1 defeat against West Ham, leaving them three points adrift of safety with just one game left in the season.

There was no twist in the title race at Craven Cottage as Josko Gvardiol continued his impressive goal-scoring run by finding the back of the net early in the game. His goal settled any nerves for City and paved the way for a dominant performance. Phil Foden added a second goal in the second half before Gvardiol grabbed his second of the game, making it five goals in his last seven appearances for City. City’s lead at the top of the table now stands at two points, putting pressure on second-placed Arsenal.

Tottenham also had a crucial win as they came from behind to defeat Burnley 2-1 and keep their hopes of Champions League football alive. Spurs had lost their previous four matches, but goals from Pedro Porro and Micky Van de Ven secured the victory. The win also confirmed Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League. Luton, who were also relegated with Burnley, suffered a defeat against West Ham, ending their brief stay in the top flight after a remarkable rise back through the leagues.

Newcastle missed the opportunity to strengthen their hold on European qualification after being held to a 1-1 draw by Brighton. The draw leaves them just three points clear of Chelsea and Manchester United, who both have a game in hand. Crystal Palace continued their impressive run under manager Oliver Glasner with a 3-1 win against Wolves, while Everton picked up a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United. Brentford also snatched a late 2-1 win against Bournemouth with a 95th-minute winner from Yoane Wissa.

The results of the weekend’s matches saw Manchester City, Brentford, Everton, Newcastle, and Crystal Palace emerge victorious, while Tottenham, West Ham, and Chelsea also secured crucial wins. The competition at the top and bottom of the table remains intense as teams fight for European qualification spots and try to avoid relegation. With just one game remaining in the Premier League season, the tension continues to build as the destiny of the title and the fate of relegation-bound teams hang in the balance.

In conclusion, the weekend’s matches in the Premier League provided plenty of drama and excitement with Manchester City edging closer to another title, while Tottenham and West Ham secured important wins. The relegation battle intensified with Burnley and Luton facing the drop, and the race for European qualification remains tight. As the season draws to a close, football fans can expect more thrills and surprises in the final game of the campaign.
