The Paris Olympics in 2024 are set to showcase the City of Light in all its splendor, with events taking place at iconic locations. The Eiffel Tower, one of the most famous landmarks in Paris, will host beach volleyball at a temporary venue near the foot of the tower. Judo and wrestling events will take place at the adjacent Champs de Mars park. The Eiffel Tower, originally unveiled in 1889 for the World Fair, has become a symbol of Paris and a top tourist attraction, with millions of visitors each year. Winners at the Paris Games will receive medals containing a piece of the original iron from the tower.

The Grand Palais exhibition hall, a glass-and-steel masterpiece created for the 1900 World Fair, will host fencing and taekwondo events. The hall features a stunning glass domed roof, the largest of its kind in Europe, covering a vast exhibition space of 13,500 square meters. During World War I, the Grand Palais served as a military hospital. In the present day, the venue has been used for art installations and as the largest ice rink in the world. The Place de la Concorde, a historic square at the foot of the Champs-Elysees, will be transformed into an urban sports hub for skateboarding, basketball, BMX freestyle, and breakdancing during the Paris Games.

Versailles Palace, located 20 kilometers from Paris, will host equestrian events such as dressage and showjumping in its park. The palace, once home to French royalty and transformed by Louis XIV in the 17th century, features vast gardens and a mile-long canal that hosted luxurious parties. The Palace of Versailles has been a world heritage site since 1979 and is a popular tourist destination in the Paris region. In Marseille, the sailing competitions will take place in the Mediterranean city, known for its boisterous atmosphere and as the home of Olympique Marseille football team. Over 300 sailors from around the world will participate in the sailing events on the sapphire waters off the coast of Marseille.

The city of Marseille, which will also host 10 football matches, welcomed the Olympic torch on May 8 as part of its journey to Paris. The bustling port city showcases a different side of France outside of the capital with its scenic coastal roads and marinas. Marseille has a rich history and cultural heritage, making it an ideal location to host Olympic events. Overall, the Paris Olympics in 2024 promise to be a spectacular showcase of sport and culture, with events held at iconic locations throughout the city and beyond. The Games will capture the attention of a global audience of billions and provide a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Paris in all its glory.
