Rayhan Thomas, a 24-year-old professional golfer, is looking towards the future by entering the DP World Tour Qualifying School in England. After winning a tournament in India on the Professional Golf Tour of India, Thomas has received overwhelming support from players, officials, and organizations in the golf community. The advice he is receiving is to play wherever and whenever possible to gain valuable experience at this stage of his career.
In preparation for upcoming tournaments in the US, UAE, and other regions, Thomas is finalizing his VISA requirements to travel seamlessly. His schedule includes participating in the DP World Tour First Stage Qualifying School in England followed by the Korn Ferry Qualifying School and the Asian Tour Qualifying School to cover all bases. Thomas is focused on improving his fitness regime and following his friend Zach Bauchou’s progress on the Korn Ferry Tour for inspiration.
Despite the uncertainty of his future schedule, Thomas is determined to stay on top of his game by practicing at the Emirates Golf Club and playing in evening sessions on the Faldo Course. He aims to stay connected with the Emirates Golf Federation and his management team to explore potential collaborations. As he waits to review his performance at the end of the year, Thomas remains optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead in Europe or Asia in 2025.
Having recently turned professional after completing his golf scholarship at Oklahoma State University, Thomas is excited about the challenges and possibilities that the Qualifying Schools offer. He is grateful for the support he has received and remains focused on his goal of securing tour cards for the upcoming season. With a positive outlook and a dedication to his craft, Thomas is ready to take on whatever comes his way in his professional golf career.
