Since its establishment in 2004, the Academy has been home to 273 student-athletes across various sporting programmes and has played a pivotal role in developing Qatar’s next generation of sporting champions. Aspire Academy has been instrumental in producing world-class athletes who have achieved remarkable feats in multiple disciplines, including winning medals at Olympic Games, World Championships, Asian Championships, and three continental titles in football.
The Director General of Aspire Academy, Ivan Bravo, emphasized the importance of this milestone and reflected on the achievements of the Academy’s student-athletes over the past two decades. He expressed pride in the determination and excellence displayed by the athletes and thanked strategic partners, national sports federations, and sports clubs for their support in developing highly competitive athletes for Qatar. The Academy has produced over 642 graduates who have gone on to represent Qatar and achieve success in international competitions. Notable achievements of Aspire Academy graduates include Mutaz Barshim’s multiple Olympic medals in high jump, Akram Afif and Abdelkarim Hassan’s accolades in football, and the success of the Qatar National Teams that have featured Aspire Academy-developed players.
