Ancelotti says we should enjoy the days before the Champions League final

Heading into his eighth Champions League final, the Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is focused on preparing his players to face Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming match. With Real Madrid aiming to secure their record-extending 15th European crown and sixth in a decade, Ancelotti believes that his players have the necessary experience to cope with the emotions surrounding the final. As an experienced manager, Ancelotti understands the importance of enjoying the moment and remaining focused on the task at hand. His calmness and tactical acumen are key attributes that have contributed to his success as a coach, making him one of the most successful in the world.

Ancelotti’s return to Real Madrid in 2021 after the departure of Zinedine Zidane was driven by a singular mission – to increase Real’s trophy collection. Having previously won the Champions League with AC Milan and Real Madrid, including the historic “Decima” in 2014, Ancelotti’s leadership led Real Madrid to their 14th title in 2022. The team’s journey to the final in Paris included victories over top clubs like Chelsea, Paris St Germain, and Manchester City, culminating in a 1-0 win against Liverpool. Despite the inevitable worry and fear that accompanies big games, Ancelotti emphasizes the importance of enjoying the experience and maintaining confidence in his team.
