Al Rayyan, a football club based in Doha, Qatar, has recently made two significant signings in an effort to strengthen their squad for the ongoing season. Moroccan winger Achraf Bencharki and Palestinian international Mohamed Saleh are the latest additions to the team, with Bencharki joining as a key foreign player after completing a transfer agreement. The club’s management, in collaboration with head coach Poya Asbaghi, orchestrated the deals to bring in these talented players to enhance the team’s depth and competitiveness.

Bencharki, who had previously played for Al Rayyan before being released earlier this summer, brings valuable experience and skill to the squad. Starting his professional career with Maghreb Fez, he went on to play for clubs such as Wydad AC in Morocco, Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, and Zamalek in Egypt. Additionally, he had a loan spell with Lens in France and a brief stint with Al Jazira in the UAE. With his versatility and attacking prowess, Bencharki is expected to make a significant impact on the team’s performance in both domestic and international competitions.

The signing of Mohamed Saleh further reinforces Al Rayyan’s commitment to assembling a competitive and well-rounded squad. Saleh, a talented Palestinian international, adds depth and quality to the team’s defensive line, providing valuable support and stability at the back. By securing the services of Saleh, the club’s management aims to ensure that the team is well-equipped to face their upcoming challenges in the AFC Champions League and other prestigious tournaments on the horizon.

As Al Rayyan gears up for their AFC Champions League campaign, they are set to face tough competition from top teams in the region. Their first match will be against Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia on September 17, followed by a clash with Al Nassr in Riyadh on September 30. With a focus on showcasing their strength and determination on the field, the team is determined to make a mark in the prestigious tournament and compete at the highest level against renowned opponents.

In addition to their AFC Champions League commitments, Al Rayyan is also actively participating in the Ooredoo Stars League and the QSL Cup. Currently placed eighth in the league after three rounds of competition, the team is working tirelessly to improve their standing and secure vital points in the upcoming fixtures. With the newly acquired talents of Bencharki and Saleh, alongside the existing core of players, Al Rayyan is poised to make significant strides in their quest for success and silverware in the season ahead.

Overall, the recent signings of Achraf Bencharki and Mohamed Saleh highlight Al Rayyan’s ambitions and aspirations for the ongoing season. By strengthening their squad with quality players and strategic acquisitions, the club aims to elevate their performance and compete at the highest level in both domestic and international competitions. With a blend of experience, skill, and talent, Al Rayyan is well-positioned to make a strong impact in the AFC Champions League and other prestigious tournaments, setting the stage for an exciting and promising season ahead.
