Al-Ittihad Club’s CEO, Domingos De Oliveira, has expressed his concerns about the future preparations of the club following a disappointing draw with Al Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League. He highlighted issues with the Player Acquisition Center of Excellence (PACE) program, stating that the information received is not positive. Oliveira emphasized the need for timely decisions to be made to ensure that the club can prepare adequately for the next season.

Despite the draw being seen as a step up in performance, with Oliveira expressing pride in how the players performed, the overall season results have fallen short of expectations. Despite high-profile signings such as Karim Benzema, Ngolo Kante, and Fabinho, Al-Ittihad failed to secure any trophies this season and had a low-profile presence in the Club World Cup hosted in their hometown of Jeddah. The management is conducting an assessment to be presented to the board, and decisions will be made to ensure that the club is prepared for the upcoming season.

The season for Al-Ittihad also saw them missing out on a chance to compete in the AFC Champions League Elite. Oliveira emphasized the importance of strategically placing the right players within the club to align with its goals for the upcoming season. It is clear that there is a sense of urgency within the club to address the issues and make necessary decisions to improve their performance in the future.

Looking ahead, Al-Ittihad’s management is focused on taking the necessary steps to ensure that the club is ready for the upcoming season. Oliveira’s statement reflects a determination to rectify the shortcomings of the previous season and make the necessary adjustments to position the club for success. The assessment being conducted will play a crucial role in shaping the decisions that will be made to strengthen the team and enhance its chances of achieving better results in the future.

Despite the challenges faced by Al-Ittihad in the past season, there is a sense of optimism within the club that with the right decisions and strategic planning, they can overcome the obstacles and achieve success in the upcoming season. Oliveira’s commitment to preparing the team correctly and aligning the player acquisitions with the club’s goals demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing the issues and improving the club’s performance. With a strong management team in place and a focus on making the necessary changes, Al-Ittihad is positioning itself for a successful future in the Saudi Pro League and beyond.
