Al Gharafa shocks Al Arabi; Al Rayyan dominates Al Wakrah

Nedim Music, the Most Valuable Player of the match, led Al Gharafa to a thrilling 90-83 victory over defending champions Al Arabi in the Qatar Basketball League Round 7 match. Music’s exceptional performance included 30 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, while Mark Alkhoury contributed 27 points for Al Gharafa. Despite a strong fight from Al Arabi’s players, including Mustafa Hussein Ali Ahmed and Elmedin Kikanovic, Al Gharafa emerged victorious. Al Arabi, currently in second place in the standings, suffered their second loss of the season.

Meanwhile, at the same venue, Al Rayyan maintained their dominance with a 112-80 win over Al Wakrah, thanks to a standout performance from Tyler James Lee Harris. Harris, along with Abdulla Yassin Mousa, Demarquis D’Angelo Bost, Meho Haracic, and Justin Jamel Wright-Foreman, led Al Rayyan to their seventh consecutive victory of the season. Despite efforts from Sindou Ismael Diallo, Al Wakrah suffered their fifth defeat. Al Rayyan, coached by Efstathios Nerantzakis, solidified their position at the top of the standings with a perfect record of seven wins in the season.

The thrilling matches in the Qatar Basketball League showcased the skill and determination of the players from Al Gharafa, Al Arabi, Al Rayyan, and Al Wakrah. Nedim Music’s exceptional performance for Al Gharafa, including 30 points, nine rebounds, and four assists, was instrumental in securing their victory over Al Arabi. On the other hand, Al Rayyan’s Tyler James Lee Harris played a key role in their dominant win against Al Wakrah, with 25 points, three rebounds, and four assists.

The Qatar Basketball Federation’s Indoor Hall witnessed intense competition as players from both teams showcased their talent and determination on the court. Nedim Music’s stellar performance for Al Gharafa, along with support from Mark Alkhoury and Ja’cor Danik Nelson, paved the way for their second win of the season. Similarly, Al Rayyan’s Tyler James Lee Harris, Abdulla Yassin Mousa, Demarquis D’Angelo Bost, Meho Haracic, and Justin Jamel Wright-Foreman led the team to another impressive victory against Al Wakrah.

Despite the loss, Al Arabi and Al Wakrah put up strong fights, with players like Mustafa Hussein Ali Ahmed, Elmedin Kikanovic, and Sindou Ismael Diallo showcasing their skills on the court. However, it was Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan who emerged victorious, continuing their successful campaigns in the Qatar Basketball League.
