After a thrilling Qatar Cup final between Al Arabi and Al Duhail, where Al Arabi emerged victorious with a 35-34 win in the shootout, the defending champions are now aiming for a place in the Amir Cup handball tournament title match. Al Arabi will be facing Al Wakrah in the semi-final at Al Duhail Main Hall. The team showed great determination and skill in both the Qatar Cup final and in the tournament leading up to the semi-final, where they defeated Qatar SC to advance.

Goalkeeper Ahmed M, who made some crucial saves during the Qatar Cup final, expressed the team’s desire to achieve a trophy double this season. He highlighted the players’ hard work and determination, emphasizing their readiness for tough matches. Winning the Amir Cup after claiming the Qatar Cup would be a fantastic way to end the season for Al Arabi.

The semi-final match between Al Arabi and Al Wakrah is expected to be a closely contested affair, with both teams coming off impressive victories in the previous rounds. Al Rayyan, another strong contender, will also be facing off against Al Duhail in the first semi-final match. Al Rayyan, who recently won the Qatar Handball League, are aiming to add another title to their collection this season.

Al Duhail, on the other hand, will be looking to redeem themselves after missing out on the Qatar Cup title. They secured a spot in the semi-finals by defeating Al Gharafa in the previous round. The Amir Cup has seen various teams achieve success over the years, with the likes of Al Sadd and Al Ahli having multiple titles to their name. Al Rayyan and El Jaish have also been successful in the tournament, while Al Wakrah has lifted the prestigious trophy once.

The final of the tournament is set to take place on Thursday, where the top teams will battle it out for the ultimate prize. With the competition heating up in the semi-finals, fans can expect to see some intense matches as the teams vie for the coveted title. The handball action in Qatar has been nothing short of exhilarating, and the upcoming matches are sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
