According to Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the AJP Tour Dubai International Jiu-Jitsu Championship is a significant event that garners both local and international attention. Tariq Al-Bahri, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro, highlighted the importance of the championship in developing the sport of jiu-jitsu and expanding its reach globally. He emphasized Abu Dhabi’s reputation as the world jiu-jitsu capital and a hub for major jiu-jitsu events, attracting champions from all corners of the world. Coaches like Igor Silva from Commando Group Academy are optimistic about their team’s performance at the event and commend the UAEJJF and AJP for organizing world-class championships that contribute to the growth of jiu-jitsu.
Competitors like Ali Monfaradi from Elements Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Bahrain are eagerly anticipating the championship and are confident in their abilities to perform well. Monfaradi, who will compete in the under-77kg category in both professional and masters divisions, aims to build on last year’s success by securing more medals.
