Dubai, UAE (Monday, February 24, 2025): SOYL, Dubai Design District’s (D3) newest contemporary Middle Eastern eatery, is fast establishing its community following in the area. SOYL (pronounced like soul) offers a unique dining experience that marries familiar Middle Eastern cuisine to blend classic favorites with some creative twists on predominantly Iranian and Lebanese cuisines, served in chic décor with touches of art and fashion reflected throughout the establishment.

More than a typical restaurant, SOYL is a celebration of culture, in which the culinary art is only one type of art to be revered. With local influences integrated, the venue is an experiential space where heritage, hospitality, and culinary art converge. Every afternoon, Iranian handcrafted teapots are used to pour saffron-infused teas, while Persian carpets adorn the walls alongside a contemporary dining setting. A tabun adds the rich flavour of fire to freshly prepared manakish, and Arabic and Iranian breads are baked in-house daily.

Following the philosophy of a restaurant a source of social and community environment, not merely sustenance, SOYL provides a welcoming, homelike atmosphere, ideal for any gathering, from easy breakfast to indulgent afternoon tea or a banquet of grilled specialties.

“At SOYL, we are passionate about serving not just great food, we provide an experience in which the customer is treated as family, warmly and with world-class service,” states Salman Tahamtan, General Manager at SOYL.

“We want SOYL to be a destination point, not just a place to dine but also one where residents gather to learn about local craftsmanship, fashion, music, and family-friendly activities that differentiate us from anyone else in the heart of D3.”

Ramadan Iftar, Set Menu
The SOYL Iftar experience begins with a daily soup, followed by seven starters, featuring a selection of three cold and four hot dishes, including hummus, borani, mix fatayer, mirza qasimi, and spicy potato (batata harra). Guests can choose between a BBQ mix grill or an alternative daily dish, both served with aromatic rice. The meal is complemented by traditional Ramadan drinks such as Vimto, jallab, qamaruddin, and doogh, and concludes with a signature kunafa dessert.Iftar Prices:

  • AED 135 per person (minimum 2 persons)
  • AED 70for kids aged 7 to 11 years
  • Children under the age of 6 years eat for free

New Weekend Lunch, Set Menu
Available every Saturday and Sunday for 129 AED per person, the Weekend Lunch at SOYL offers a carefully curated selection of flavours. The meal begins with a warming soup of the day, followed by six appetisers, consisting of four cold and two hot dishes. Diners can enjoy a variety of Middle Eastern specialities, including fattoush, Shirazi salad, hummus or mutabal, borani spinach, kashk bademjan or Mirza, and batata harra (spicy potato).

For the main course, guests can choose between a mix grill featuring homemade Iranian kubideh kebabs, succulent lamb cubes and house recipe shish tawook, or a signature daily dish, which will vary throughout the month depending on seasonal offerings. Unlimited Iranian tea and water are included, and to finish on a sweet note, diners can enjoy a selection of Iranian or Lebanese desserts, with the house-special muhallabieh and kunafa as a highlight.

A Menu That Showcases Middle Eastern Excellence

SOYL’s menu celebrates the rich traditions of Iranian and Lebanese cuisine, offering a diverse selection of dishes that highlight bold, authentic flavours with a contemporary edge.

  • Breakfast Specialities – Enjoy Dubai’s first Saffron Eggs Benedict, Shakshouka, and Foul Moudamas, alongside hearty options such as SOYL Beans, thoughtfully crafted to cater to both traditiona diners and foodies.
  • Meze & Appetisers – A mix of hot and cold meze, featuring favourites like Hummus Beiruty, Baba Ghanouj, Sujuk, Shrimp Provençal, and traditional delights such as Kashk Bademjan, Yoghurt with Cucumber, and Mirza Ghasemi.
  • Signature Mains – A selection of home-style dishes, including Kebbe Bl Laban, Molokhia Chicken, Shish Barak, and authentic Iranian classics such as Khoresht Gheymeh, Fesenjan, Khoresht Bamieh, Baghati Polo Gardan and Sabzi Polo Ba Mahi.
  • BBQ & Grilled Specialities – Featuring succulent Lamb Chops, Tawook Plate, Kabab Khachkhach, and the SOYL Mix Grilled Platter, alongside saffron-infused favourites like Zafran Chelo-Kobideh, Zafran Joje Kabab and SOYL Shah Kebab delivering the bold, smoky flavours of Middle Eastern grilling.

SOYL’s beverage selection complements the menu with Turkish Coffee, Arabic Coffee, and Iranian Tea, as well as modern interpretations such as V60 and Iced Saffron Lattes. For a refreshing touch, guests can enjoy Persian Dream (Kheiar-Sekanjabin) and Jewels of Iran (Zafran-Lemon with Basil Seeds), offering a vibrant taste of Persian tradition.

SOYL’s carefully crafted menus provide the perfect opportunity to gather with family and friends, offering a culinary journey that honours tradition while embracing contemporary flavours.
