Shop Qatar, the nation’s largest shopping and entertainment festival, kicked off on January 1, 2025, with a grand opening ceremony at Place Vendôme in Doha, Qatar. Themed “Your Shopping Playground,” the festival will run until February 1, 2025, offering a mix of retail, cultural, and family-friendly entertainment activities.
The opening ceremony featured a captivating performance by Lebanese singer Abeer Nehme, along with colorful parades and engaging activities. Prominent influencers made appearances and guests were treated to a lively atmosphere, setting the tone for a month-long celebration of shopping and entertainment in Qatar.
Ahmed Albinali, Director of Festivals & Events at Visit Qatar, expressed how Shop Qatar has become a beloved tradition in the event calendar, showcasing Qatar as a hub for memorable experiences. The festival aims to offer a unique blend of shopping, entertainment, and community engagement for residents and visitors.
With a focus on providing exceptional experiences, Shop Qatar 2025 promises an exciting lineup of events, including exclusive offers from luxury, high-street, and local retailers. Every Friday, a weekly raffle draw will take place, giving participants the chance to win luxury cars, cash prizes, and other exciting rewards.
Residents and visitors can look forward to interactive activity corners, games, roaming parades, and meet-and-greets with popular Spacetoon characters. The festival will culminate with a closing ceremony on February 1, 2025, at Doha Festival City, where the final raffle draw will take place, announcing the Tesla Cybertruck winner and other major prizes.
In addition to the raffle draws and shopping opportunities, Shop Qatar 2025 will feature special performances, surprise guests, and the Mall & Retail Awards, recognizing excellence in branding, customer experience, and team efforts across 20 locations in Qatar.
Shoppers can participate in the raffle draws by spending QAR 200 at any participating venue and redeeming receipts at designated redemption booths. Weekly draws will be held at various locations, with prizes including luxury cars, cash rewards, vouchers, and giveaways distributed during interactive games and contests.
