Senyar’s Bilmesan Championship will continue until Saturday

Katara Beach is set to host the Qaffal celebration to honor the return of pilots and sailors and crown the winners of the first edition of the Bilmesan Championship. The competition, organized by the Cultural Village Foundation Katara, has seen 16 teams compete for top honors after winning various competitions at the 2024 Senyar Festival. The championship, sponsored by the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam) and Ooredoo, has garnered support from multiple entities and companies, making it a highly anticipated event in Doha, Qatar.

The ongoing competitions have seen the teams showcase their skills and determination in various challenges, including the Hadaq, Laffah, and biggest fish competitions. Jihad Al Jaidah, a member of the tournament’s organizing committee and head of the jury, has lauded the teams for their excellent performances and the judging committees for their diligent work in ensuring fair play. The atmosphere at the championship has been described as wonderful and excellent, with participants showing a strong spirit of competition and camaraderie.

Teams participating in the tournament have been engaged in fierce competitions, with the Laffah challenge yielding a bountiful harvest of different types of fish. Many teams have been successful in catching the required quantity of specific categories of fish, such as kingfish, showcasing their fishing skills and expertise.
