The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the Ministry of Education have signed a memorandum to launch the AI scholarship program during the Global AI Summit. This program aims to bridge the gap in distinguished national talents in artificial intelligence by sending talented individuals to the most prominent international universities in artificial intelligence specializations. The scholarship program offers a package of services that include establishing an association for the program’s scholarship recipients in specializations related to data and artificial intelligence, exploring the possibility of granting the scholarship recipients the opportunity to work on developing solutions to the technical challenges that SDAIA and its partners are working on, and forming research groups to raise the quality of scientific research. Additionally, the program will link students with prominent researchers, stimulate cooperation between scholarship recipients in artificial intelligence specializations, and provide guidance workshops for the program’s beneficiaries.

The cooperation between SDAIA and the Ministry of Education in launching the AI scholarship program is a significant step towards developing national competencies in artificial intelligence and data sciences. The program aims to provide distinguished educational opportunities for national talents in these fields at the most prestigious international universities. This initiative will encourage individuals to acquire skills and expertise in artificial intelligence, which is a rapidly growing field with great potential for innovation and advancement. By sending talented individuals to top international universities, the program will help to foster a culture of excellence in artificial intelligence research and development in Saudi Arabia.

The AI scholarship program launched by SDAIA in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program is a reflection of the commitment of the Saudi government to investing in human capital and developing national talents in the field of artificial intelligence. By providing opportunities for individuals to further their education in AI specializations at leading international universities, the program will help to ensure that Saudi Arabia has a skilled workforce capable of driving innovation and technological advancement in the field of artificial intelligence. This initiative will also help to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in artificial intelligence research and development.

The collaboration between SDAIA and the Ministry of Education in launching the AI scholarship program highlights the importance of building partnerships between government agencies and educational institutions to promote the development of national talents in key strategic areas such as artificial intelligence. By working together to identify and support talented individuals with a passion for AI, the program will help to nurture a new generation of researchers and innovators who can contribute to the growth and success of the artificial intelligence sector in Saudi Arabia. This collaborative effort will create a supportive ecosystem for individuals interested in pursuing careers in AI and data sciences, providing them with the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to succeed in this dynamic and rapidly evolving field.

Overall, the AI scholarship program launched by SDAIA and the Ministry of Education is a promising initiative that has the potential to make a significant impact on the development of national competencies in artificial intelligence and data sciences in Saudi Arabia. By providing talented individuals with the opportunity to study at top international universities and acquire the skills and expertise needed to succeed in the field of AI, the program will help to build a strong foundation for the future growth and success of the artificial intelligence sector in the Kingdom. This initiative demonstrates the commitment of the Saudi government to investing in human capital and supporting the development of a skilled workforce capable of driving innovation and technological advancement in key strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence.
