Sayyid Theyazin heads main committee for Oman’s Expo 2025 Osaka participation

The meeting of the main committee tasked with the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan was chaired by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth. The committee discussed the preparations for Oman’s participation in the global event, including the final stages of construction of the pavilion and the start of experimental activities. HH Sayyid Theyazin highlighted the importance of Oman’s participation in reflecting the country’s unique status among the world’s nations.

Sixteen agreements were signed by the Commission to support Oman’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. The signing ceremony was attended by the Main Committee and CEOs of supporting establishments and companies, such as St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort. Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Commissioner General of the Sultanate of Oman Pavilion, signed the agreements in the presence of representatives from various public and private sector establishments. The meeting also featured a visual presentation on Oman’s preparations and the design of the pavilion.

A briefing was given during the meeting about the cooperation between Oman and Japan, as well as the rights and privileges that will be granted to supporting establishments and companies during Oman’s participation in Expo Osaka 2025. Expo 2025 Osaka, with the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” is set to take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025 on the Island of Yumeshima in Osaka Bay. The event will bring together countries to celebrate innovation and technological advancements, as well as discuss solutions to global challenges.

In conclusion, the meeting of the main committee highlighted the progress made in Oman’s preparations for Expo 2025 Osaka and the support received from various establishments and companies. Oman’s participation in the global event is seen as an opportunity to showcase the country’s unique cultural heritage and achievements on an international platform. With the theme of designing a future society for our lives, Expo 2025 Osaka aims to inspire collaboration and innovation among nations to address global challenges and create a sustainable future for all.
