The Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 has named the State of Qatar as the guest of honor, highlighting the strong cultural and historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Dr. Mohammed Hasan Alwan, CEO of the Saudi Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, stated that this selection will allow visitors to learn about Qatari achievements in various fields of culture. The fair will feature the most important pioneers of culture, literature, and art from Qatar, along with key entities involved in cultural work.

At the upcoming edition of the fair, attendees will have the opportunity to explore Qatari cultural and intellectual heritage through a special pavilion showcasing rare manuscripts and publications from the Ministry of Culture. The event aims to provide a unique cultural and cognitive experience by incorporating modern technologies and digital solutions, allowing visitors to discover thousands of new publications and titles in different fields.

The Riyadh International Book Fair 2024 is scheduled to take place at the King Saud University campus in Riyadh from September 26 to October 5. The event will bring together over 2,000 local, Arab, and international publishing houses and agencies from more than 30 countries, housed in 800 pavilions. In addition to the diverse range of publications on offer, the fair will also feature writers, thinkers, and intellectuals from Saudi Arabia and abroad.

With over 200 activities suitable for all age groups, the fair aims to enhance reading culture and promote cultural creativity. Attendees can look forward to engaging in various cognitive activities that will enrich their knowledge and appreciation of literature and the arts. The fair’s rich cultural program will include exhibitions, events, and activities that showcase the diversity and vibrancy of the literary landscape.
