The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) recently signed four cooperation programs with various organizations in Pakistan to help communities affected by natural disasters. The agreements aim to benefit approximately 360,000 individuals directly and 690,000 indirectly, with a total value of $14,223,762. This partnership will provide essential support to those in need and help rebuild infrastructure in the country.

One of the key initiatives under these agreements is the construction of 1,000 permanent housing units for families affected by floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces. These houses will offer a safe and dignified living environment for around 7,000 individuals. Each unit will be equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom, ensuring that families have a comfortable place to live.

Furthermore, the center will establish 300 community schools across Pakistan, equipped with solar energy and essential facilities such as clean drinking water. These schools will cater to approximately 15,000 children and indirectly benefit over 100,000 individuals. Additionally, four secondary schools will be set up in Kashmir to provide a safe learning environment for 3,400 students and contribute to the long-term development of the region.

In addition to these initiatives, a national logistics warehouse will be established in Islamabad to enhance the capacity of the National Disaster Management Authority in storing and distributing relief supplies during emergencies. Furthermore, 22 service facilities, including schools, health centers, and water projects, will be rehabilitated in areas affected by natural disasters in Pakistan. This will improve access to education, healthcare, and clean water for those in need.

The agreements were signed in Islamabad by the Assistant Supervisor General of the Center, Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Muhammad Dar, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Al-Maliki, and a representative of the National Disaster Management Authority. These efforts highlight the Saudi government’s commitment to enhancing the resilience of communities, supporting educational and health projects, and rehabilitating service facilities in Pakistan.

Overall, the cooperation programs signed between KSrelief and various organizations in Pakistan will make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by natural disasters. By providing essential support, including housing, education, and healthcare facilities, these agreements will help rebuild communities and enhance their resilience. Additionally, the partnerships demonstrate the strong bond between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in providing humanitarian aid and relief to those in need.
