The Saudi national team has been placed in Group C, also known as the “Group of Death,” for the third round of the Asian Cup qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. Group C includes strong teams such as Japan, Australia, Bahrain, China, and Indonesia. With only the top two teams from each group directly qualifying for the World Cup, the competition will be tough. The Saudi national team’s qualification campaign will kick off with a home match against Indonesia on September 5, followed by an away game against China on September 10. In October, Saudi Arabia will host Japan on the 10th and Bahrain on the 15th. November will see the team playing away against Australia on the 14th and Indonesia on the 19th. In March next year, Saudi Arabia will host China on the 20th and play away against Japan on the 25th. The team will conclude their qualification campaign in June 2025 with a match against Bahrain on June 5 and a home game against Australia on June 10.

With strong opponents in Group C, the Saudi national team will need to perform at their best to secure a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
