Zaid Al Rawi has recently joined Sanctuary, a part of Summit Group, as the Managing Director for the Middle East region. Working from the UAE, Zaid will collaborate with the senior leadership team to drive business growth and achieve strategic objectives. With 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Zaid started his career with Merrill Lynch in London in 1999, advising Middle Eastern family offices on investments and structuring. He then moved to Dubai in 2006 to work as the Sales Director for Barclays Wealth in the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey region.

Transitioning to private equity and real estate in 2013, Zaid has been advising investors in the GCC region. His most recent role was as the Managing Director, MENA for M7 Real Estate and later Martley Capital, where he continues to serve as an advisor. Zaid has been involved in various governance, advisory, and project roles with Sanctuary since its establishment in 2019. He expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, stating that he looks forward to leveraging his experience to contribute to the company’s growth and provide high-quality services to clients in the Middle East.

CEO of Sanctuary, Deepak Malhotra, expressed his pleasure in welcoming Zaid to the team, highlighting his extensive experience and understanding of the finance industry in the Middle East as valuable assets. The company is confident that under Zaid’s leadership, their presence and impact in the region will continue to grow.
