India’s Sanju Samson and captain Suryakumar Yadav led the charge as India recorded the highest T20 International total by a Test-playing nation and the second highest overall against Bangladesh in Hyderabad. Samson’s blistering century and Yadav’s explosive batting propelled India to a massive total of 297-6, surpassing Afghanistan’s previous record of 278-3 against Ireland in 2019. Samson’s first T20 international ton included 11 fours and eight sixes, with five consecutive sixes off leg-spinner Rishad Hossain in one over.

The partnership between Samson and Yadav for the second wicket yielded 173 runs, with Yadav contributing 75 runs off just 35 balls. Samson’s aggressive batting display overshadowed his captain’s innings and set the stage for India’s commanding total. Despite Samson’s departure to Mustafizur Rahman after reaching his century, Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag continued to pile on the runs with quickfire innings, contributing 47 off 18 balls and 34 off 13 balls respectively.

Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, faced an uphill battle after losing the Test series 2-0 and aimed to salvage pride with a victory in the T20 series. However, India’s dominant performance with the bat left Bangladesh searching for answers as they failed to contain the Indian batters. Mahmudullah Riyad, playing his last T20 match for Bangladesh, managed to dismiss Yadav but could not stem the flow of runs from the Indian batsmen.

The heaving crowd at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad cheered on as India showcased their batting prowess and set a formidable target for Bangladesh to chase. The explosive display of power hitting by Samson and his teammates highlighted India’s strength in the T20 format and sent a strong message to other cricketing nations. With aggressive batting and consistent boundary-hitting, India’s top-order batsmen dismantled the Bangladesh bowlers and put their team in a commanding position.

As Bangladesh sought their first victory on the tour against India, the pressure mounted on their bowlers to contain the Indian batsmen and restrict the run flow. Despite some breakthroughs, Bangladesh struggled to stem the tide of boundaries and sixes from the Indian batsmen. The comprehensive victory by India in the series highlighted their dominance in the T20 format and their ability to set challenging totals for their opponents.

In conclusion, India’s record-breaking total against Bangladesh in the T20 series showcased their depth in batting talent and ability to dominate in international cricket. With stellar performances from Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, and others, India asserted their dominance and sent a strong message to their competitors. As Bangladesh regroups and looks to bounce back in future matches, India continues to build momentum and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the T20 arena.
