The Ministry of Interior in Qatar has announced the caravan and trailer towing times for the upcoming camping season, running from 2024 to 2025. Towing caravans is permitted from 8am to 5pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 8am to 12pm from Thursday to Saturday. Campers are advised to use the Orbital Highway and its exits, stay in the right lane, and avoid overtaking. It is important to note that towing is not allowed during adverse weather conditions for safety reasons.

In addition to the towing times, the Ministry has outlined safety requirements for caravans. These include ensuring that the rear lighting on the towing vehicle is functioning properly, the brakes and tires are in good condition, and the rear and side reflectors are of the required quality (red and yellow respectively). Campers are also reminded to check the validity of their fire extinguisher to ensure it is ready for any emergencies that may occur while on the road.

Furthermore, the Ministry has set specific measurements for caravans to adhere to. The maximum width allowed is 2.60 metres, including the load, while the maximum length is set at 3.5 metres per single axle, and 5 metres per double axle. These measurements are put in place to ensure the safety of all campers on the road and to prevent any accidents that could occur due to oversized or improperly loaded caravans.

Campers planning to tow a caravan during the upcoming season should make sure to follow these guidelines set by the Ministry of Interior in Qatar. By adhering to the permitted towing times, safety requirements, and measurements for caravans, campers can ensure a safe and enjoyable camping experience. It is important to prioritize safety on the road, especially when towing a caravan, to prevent any accidents or mishaps that could occur while traveling to and from the campsite.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Interior in Qatar has set specific guidelines for caravan and trailer towing during the upcoming camping season. Campers are advised to follow the permitted towing times, use the designated highway routes, and adhere to safety requirements outlined by the Ministry. By ensuring that their caravan meets the required measurements and safety standards, campers can have a safe and enjoyable camping experience in Qatar. Prioritizing safety on the road is essential to prevent any accidents or emergencies while traveling with a caravan. Campers should make it a priority to follow these guidelines to have a successful and stress-free camping trip in Qatar.
