RD Burman concert set to take place in Dubai tomorrow

Dubai is gearing up for a memorable evening filled with music, memories, and fascinating stories about the legendary Bollywood composer RD Burman. A musical tribute titled “Oh Pancham!” is set to take place at the Emirates International School Auditorium in Jumeirah on June 15 at 7:30pm. Organized by the Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts, the concert will showcase Dubai’s teen musical prodigy Sreeyanka Banerjee, alongside renowned RJ and theatre personality, Gaggan Mudgal.

Jogiraj Sikidar, founder and director of Malhaar Centre for Performing Arts, who has conceptualized the show, expresses his excitement about the event marking the professional launch of his student, Sreeyanka, into the music industry. Sreeyanka Banerjee, the star artist of the evening, expresses her enthusiasm, describing it as a dream come true. She will be performing classic compositions like ‘Raina Beeti Jaye’, ‘Chura Liya Hai’, ‘Duniya Mein Logon Ko’, and more.

The concert will also feature rare audio and video clips of RD Burman, with Mudgal serving as the narrator of the evening. Mudgal promises to share intriguing insights about Pancham, making the event a mix of musical joy and nostalgia.
