Dubai-born professional golfer Rayhan Thomas has made an impressive start in the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) event, shooting a five-birdie 67 to be tied for third place. His stellar performance in the KGiSL Presents Coimbatore Open has put him in a good position going into the next rounds. After an opening round of 70, Rayhan managed to move up with birdies on Holes 10, 13, and 15, followed by more birdies on Holes 2 and 4. With consistent play, he finished at seven under par at the halfway stage.

Rayhan Thomas expressed gratitude for the support from family and friends as he navigated through a busy day on the course. He highlighted a 30-footer par save putt on the 5th hole, which kept his momentum going when he needed it the most. Despite the sticky weather conditions, Rayhan remained focused and determined to maintain his aggressive game plan for the upcoming rounds. With no dropped shots and five birdies in his second round, he is confident about his chances of contending for the win in the tournament.

The leader of the Coimbatore Open is Akshay Sharma at 10 under par, followed by Manu Gandas in second place on eight under par. With a prize fund of ₹1 Crore, the competition is fierce among top golfers in the PGTI event. Rayhan Thomas is scheduled to tee off for the third round at 9.40 am local time in a group with Sharma and Gandas, giving him the opportunity to assess his competition and make strategic decisions on the course. As he aims to maintain his aggressive gameplay, Rayhan is hopeful for a chance to compete for the title on Saturday.

The PGTI, sponsored by Tata Steel, is the premier professional golf tour in India, providing a platform for talented golfers to showcase their skills. Established in 2006, the PGTI has been instrumental in promoting and developing professional golf in the country. With a focus on nurturing talent and providing opportunities for players to compete at the highest level, the PGTI plays a significant role in the growth of golf in India. Rayhan Thomas’ participation in the tour reflects his dedication to the sport and his aspirations to excel on the professional circuit.

As the tournament progresses, Rayhan Thomas remains determined to stay competitive and capitalize on his strong start. With a solid performance in the early rounds, he is well-positioned to challenge the leaderboard and contend for a top spot in the Coimbatore Open. His focus on maintaining an aggressive game plan and making key shots under pressure demonstrates his commitment to success in professional golf. With the support of his family, friends, and fans, Rayhan Thomas is eager to showcase his talent and compete against some of the best golfers in the PGTI event.
