The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in Doha, Qatar, is actively supporting private project owners in the captive breeding of the endangered Houbara bustard. The Rawdat Al Faras Centre for the Breeding of the Endangered Houbara Bustard is at the forefront of efforts to increase the number of projects aimed at conserving this species within Qatar. Various support services, including technical assistance, advisory services, and training courses, are being offered to enhance knowledge of the production and breeding methods for the Houbara bustard.

The Ministry is providing a comprehensive package of incentives and initiatives to citizens interested in establishing private projects focused on breeding the Houbara bustard. These initiatives include offering unified proposals, models, and designs for the construction of breeding projects, as well as advisory services, feed, medication, and birds for production under the guidance of experts in the field. Project owners are required to allow the Rawdat Al Faras Centre team to visit their projects at any time for quality verification of the breeding process and general cleanliness of the premises.

Project owners are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the site, ensuring the necessary protection, veterinary care, and nutrition for the Houbara bustard. Additionally, owners are required to record hatching data of eggs and submit this information to the office when requested. These measures are essential to ensure the successful breeding and conservation of the endangered species within Qatar.

Efforts are being made to enhance conservation efforts for the endangered Houbara bustard through private breeding projects in Qatar. By providing support services, incentives, and guidance to project owners, the Ministry aims to increase the population of the Houbara bustard within the country. The Rawdat Al Faras Centre plays a crucial role in overseeing the breeding projects and ensuring compliance with guidelines to safeguard the welfare of the birds.

Through the collaborative efforts of the Ministry, project owners, and the Rawdat Al Faras Centre, significant progress is being made in the conservation of the endangered Houbara bustard in Qatar. By promoting private breeding projects and providing necessary support, the Ministry is working towards the long-term sustainability and protection of this species. With continued dedication and cooperation, Qatar is poised to make a significant impact on the conservation of the Houbara bustard and contribute to biodiversity preservation efforts in the region.
