QCS recognized at Qatar Community Responsibility Week

In a recent ceremony held in Doha, Qatar, Minister of Social Development and Family H E Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, honoured the Qatari Cancer Society (QCS) for its outstanding achievements in 2023. The event was part of the Qatar Community Responsibility Week organized by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and the Regional Network for Consultations. The ceremony, which took place from October 8 to 14, 2024, was attended by representatives from various government and private sectors, civil society organizations, and influential figures in social work.

During the ceremony, H E Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jaber Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of QCS, expressed his gratitude for the honor and stated that it will serve as motivation for the society to continue its efforts in serving the community. He highlighted the dedication and creativity of the QCS in social work, and mentioned that the recognition comes with additional responsibilities for the society to contribute to the welfare of the community. Sheikh Dr. Khalid also thanked Minister of Social Development and Family for her pioneering initiatives aimed at achieving Qatar National Vision 2023, which focuses on enhancing social cohesion and public welfare.

The event at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies created a celebratory atmosphere that showcased the community’s commitment to cooperation and solidarity.
