Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) has launched its ‘Let’s Draw a Smile’ campaign in September, coinciding with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, to raise awareness about the importance of early cancer detection in children. The campaign aims to emphasize the need for preventive measures to protect children from this disease. As part of this year’s campaign, cup holders adorned with drawings created by children undergoing treatment are being sold. These drawings reflect the children’s hopes, dreams, and bravery in facing their illness.

The cup holders are being sold at a symbolic price of 5 Qatari Riyals, with all proceeds going towards supporting QCS programs that provide treatment, care, and psychological support to children with cancer and their families. In addition to selling cup holders, the campaign also includes various entertainment activities and awareness workshops for the community, as well as children living with cancer and their families. These activities aim to provide psychological and emotional support to help children through their treatment journey.

One of the highlights of the campaign is the “Our Children are Gold” workshop, which focuses on the importance of physical activity during and after treatment for children with cancer. The workshop also includes gift distribution and various entertainment segments to engage and support children during their difficult time. By organizing such workshops and activities, QCS is not only raising awareness about childhood cancer but also providing valuable support to children and their families.

Through the ‘Let’s Draw a Smile’ campaign, QCS is bringing attention to the challenges faced by children with cancer and highlighting the importance of early detection and preventive measures. By selling cup holders with drawings created by children, the campaign is not only raising funds for QCS programs but also spreading hope and positivity. The various entertainment activities and workshops organized as part of the campaign aim to provide much-needed psychological and emotional support to children and families dealing with cancer.

Overall, the ‘Let’s Draw a Smile’ campaign by Qatar Cancer Society is a meaningful initiative to support children with cancer and raise awareness about the importance of early detection and preventive measures. The sale of cup holders with children’s drawings and the organization of workshops and entertainment activities demonstrate QCS’s commitment to providing holistic support to children and families affected by cancer. By engaging the community and encouraging participation in awareness activities, the campaign aims to make a positive impact on children’s lives and promote a culture of support and empathy towards those battling cancer.
