Qatari Stars Al Amri, Al Saad, and Al Thani Shine as First Round of Al Shaqab International League Concludes

In a recent show jumping event at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar, Qatari riders showcased their skills and dominated various classes. Jaber Rashid Al Amri was the star of the show, winning the CSI1* Al Shaqab Champions (Open Class) 1.35m event with an impressive time of 34.85 seconds on Apollon du Banney. Nasser Al Ghazali and Mohammed Saeed Haidan, both from Qatar, secured the second and third spots, respectively.

Saad Ahmed Al Saad claimed victory in the Youth Champions 130cm CSIY-B event, while Abdullah bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani excelled in the CSICh-B Future Champions (1.10m) class. Al Thani grabbed the top two positions in this category, showcasing his remarkable talent and earning a spot in the FEI Group 7 Final. The Qatari riders’ outstanding performances delighted the crowd and highlighted their potential in the world of show jumping.

Fahad Jassim H K Al Thani, Haya Khalid A E Al Hitmi, and Mohammed Jassim A J Al Thani also shone in the CSIJ-B Junior Champions (1.20m) event, securing the top three positions. Additionally, Saad Ahmed Al Saad, Sultan Salem Al Naemi, and Ibrahim Yousuf Al Mahmoud represented Qatar on the podium in the CSIY-B Youth Champions (1.30m) class, displaying their skills and determination in the sport.

The event, which served as a qualifier for the FEI Group Seven Championship Final, featured competitions across Junior, Young Rider, Youth, and Small Tour categories. The riders put on thrilling performances, captivating the audience with their speed, agility, and precision. The competition was fierce, but the Qatari riders proved to be a force to be reckoned with, dominating several classes and showcasing their talent on an international stage.

The success of the Qatari riders at the Al Shaqab International League reflects the country’s commitment to developing equestrian talent and promoting the sport of show jumping. With the support of organizations like Al Shaqab, riders like Abdullah bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Jaber Rashid Al Amri have the opportunity to hone their skills and compete at a high level. The future looks bright for Qatari equestrianism, with young talents emerging and making their mark on the international show jumping circuit.
