Qatari driver Al Attiyah secures victory in Jordan Rally

Qatari rally driver Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah secured the title of the 41st Jordan International Rally, marking his 16th victory in the event and his 85th career win in the Middle East Rally Championship. Al Attiyah, alongside his Polish navigator Giovanni Bernacchini, drove their “Skoda Fabia RS Rally2” to first place with a time of 2:08:28.2 hours. They finished ahead of their closest competitors, Abdulaziz Al Kuwari and Marshall Clarke, in a “Skoda Fabia RS Rally2”, who finished in second place. The event, held in the Dead Sea area, featured 24 cars and competitors from nine countries.

Al Attiyah expressed his joy at winning the Jordan Rally once again, noting that it is his favorite race. He credited his team for their support and helping him adapt to his new car, which contributed to his strong performance in the championship. The victory strengthens his bid for the Middle East Championship title, with his sights set on securing his 20th overall championship title this year. Al Attiyah highlighted the upcoming Lebanon Rally as a challenging race and emphasized the importance of learning from past mistakes to achieve his goals.

The two-day event featured 15 special stages across the Dead Sea and Mount Nebo regions, with Al Attiyah dominating the fastest times in most stages.
