Qatari archers on Team Qatar achieve impressive results at West Asian Championship

The Qatari national archery team recently made a strong showing at the first-ever West Asian Archery Championship in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia, securing an impressive seven medals. Among the medals were one gold, one silver, and five bronze, showcasing the team’s exceptional skill and teamwork. In the U-18 Olympic archery mixed team event, Qatar’s Ahmed Al Sada and Reem Al Saei took the gold medal, demonstrating their outstanding abilities on the field.

Additionally, the U-18 men’s Olympic archery team competition saw Ahmed Al Sada, Omar Larem, and Khamis Al Nasser earning a silver medal, while the U-18 women’s team, consisting of Reem Al Saei, Sharifa Al Obaidli, and Fatima Al Amri, claimed bronze. Individual performances were also noteworthy, with Ahmed Al Sada and Reem Al Saei both securing bronze medals in the U-18 men’s and women’s individual Olympic archery categories, respectively.

The women’s team compound archery event also saw Aisha Al Saei, Aisha Al Azzizi, and Sarah Al Obaidan bringing home a bronze medal, further solidifying Qatar’s strong presence at the championship.
