The State of Qatar recently took part in the 40th meeting of the Programme, Budget and Administration Committee at the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva. The delegation was led by Minister of Public Health and Chairperson of the WHO Executive Board, H E Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari. The meeting, held from May 22-24, covered a range of important topics including the annual report of the Independent Expert Oversight Advisory Committee, progress towards the United Nations system-wide action plan on gender equality, compliance, risk management and ethics reports, as well as reports from the Joint Inspection Unit. Discussions also focused on issues to be presented at the 77th World Health Assembly, such as the draft fourth general work program, sustainable financing, program budget for the biennium, performance evaluation, and financial reports.

As the head of the delegation from the State of Qatar, Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari played a crucial role in discussions at the 40th meeting of the Programme, Budget and Administration Committee of the WHO Executive Board in Geneva.
