The State of Qatar recently participated in the 93rd Executive Council meeting of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Qatari delegation, led by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, discussed the bureau’s efforts in the current financial cycle and praised the programs designed for the upcoming cycle. These programs are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and future skills, showcasing the bureau’s commitment to educational and scientific competencies.

Dr. Al Nuaimi, who chaired the Executive Council for the year, emphasized the importance of supporting the bureau in achieving its projects and initiatives. He encouraged member states to engage positively and continuously with the bureau to ensure its success. The Director-General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Asmi, presented a report on the progress of the bureau’s programs and plans for the upcoming financial cycles.

The meeting also addressed various activities and events planned for the next financial cycle, including the fifth International Educational Conference. This conference aims to tackle educational challenges and establish professional relationships with regional and international expertise centers. The bureau will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, highlighting its five decades of expertise in implementing educational initiatives and activities.

During the Executive Council session, the Gulf educational digital library was inaugurated. This library contains over 2,500 resources and 12 databases, providing educational workers and students with valuable information. The bureau has also launched numerous initiatives to benefit educational workers and promote student competition in science and Arabic language through various contests.

Overall, the participation of the State of Qatar in the 93rd Executive Council meeting of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States underscores the country’s commitment to advancing education and supporting the bureau’s initiatives. The meeting focused on collaborative efforts to enhance educational programs and activities in the Gulf region, aligning with global goals and future skills development. The upcoming financial cycles will see further progress in educational initiatives and the celebration of the bureau’s 50th anniversary, reflecting its longstanding commitment to promoting educational excellence in the region.
