Qatar leads 37th Meeting of GCC Directors of Drug Control Agencies

The 37th Extraordinary Meeting of the Directors of Drug Control Agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries was recently chaired by the State of Qatar via a video conference. The Ministry of Interior (MOI) released a statement on Thursday, highlighting that various topics were discussed during the meeting and appropriate decisions were made. The meeting was overseen by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Khater, Director of the Studies and International Affairs Department at the General Directorate of Drug Enforcement. Leading the MOI delegation at the meeting was Captain Ali Matar Al Rabeea Al Kuwari, Head of the Studies and Research Section at the Studies and International Affairs Department.

During the meeting, a range of important issues related to drug control were addressed by the GCC countries. These discussions were vital for coordinating efforts in combating drug trafficking and abuse within the region. The meeting also provided a platform for sharing best practices, experiences, and strategies among the participating countries. Such collaborations are crucial for ensuring the effective implementation of drug control measures and achieving common goals in this area.
