Doha, Qatar – The Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) is set to return from January 14 to January 24, 2026, at the 974 Stadium Precinct, Visit Qatar announced. This marks the 15th edition of the popular event, which aims to solidify Qatar’s position as a premier culinary destination in the Middle East and beyond. The festival will showcase a diverse range of local and international cuisine, alongside cultural experiences and entertainment.

The annual QIFF, organized by Visit Qatar, will once again welcome both residents and tourists to explore the vibrant food scene Qatar has to offer. The event will run from 4pm to 11pm on weekdays and 3pm to 1am on weekends, providing ample opportunity for attendees to sample dishes and enjoy the atmosphere. The 974 Stadium Precinct, a venue known for its sustainability and unique design, was selected to accommodate the festival’s growing popularity.

Celebrating 15 Years of the Qatar International Food Festival

For fifteen years, QIFF has served as a key component of Qatar’s tourism strategy, attracting visitors and boosting the hospitality sector. According to Visit Qatar, the festival has consistently evolved to reflect the country’s commitment to innovation and cultural exchange. This year’s edition promises an expanded program, building on the successes of previous events.

What to Expect at QIFF 2026

Visitors to QIFF 2026 can anticipate a wide array of attractions. Popular features like Dinner in the Sky and the bustling Market experience will return, offering unique dining and shopping opportunities. Additionally, the festival will introduce new elements, including captivating drone shows and interactive sessions at a dedicated Cooking Studio.

The festival grounds will also host the QIFF Ring, a space for exciting culinary competitions, and a novel “Padel of Minds” game, designed to engage attendees. Daily fireworks displays are planned to add to the festive atmosphere. These additions aim to create a more immersive and dynamic experience for all.

Ahmed Binali, Director of Festivals and Events at Visit Qatar, stated that the festival is a vital platform for the culinary community. He emphasized Qatar’s growing reputation for blending creativity, hospitality, and cultural expression. The event is expected to feature both established restaurants and emerging culinary talents.

Qatar has been actively investing in its tourism infrastructure and diversifying its economy, with a particular focus on cultural and entertainment events. The country hosted the FIFA World Cup in 2022, which significantly raised its international profile and attracted a large influx of visitors. Events like QIFF are seen as crucial for maintaining this momentum and attracting a broader range of tourists interested in Qatar’s culinary offerings.

The festival’s focus on both local and international cuisine reflects Qatar’s multicultural society. The country is home to a large expatriate population, contributing to a diverse and vibrant food scene. This diversity is a key selling point for attracting tourists seeking authentic and varied food festivals.

Further details regarding the specific chefs participating, the full entertainment schedule, and the list of restaurants will be released by Visit Qatar in the coming months. Organizers are currently finalizing the program and coordinating with various partners to ensure a successful event. The announcement of these details is anticipated before the end of 2025.

Looking ahead, the success of QIFF 2026 will likely influence the planning of future culinary events in Qatar. The festival’s ability to attract both local and international participation will be a key indicator of its continued relevance and impact on the country’s tourism sector. Monitoring visitor numbers and economic impact assessments will be crucial for evaluating the event’s overall performance and informing future strategies for promoting gastronomy in Qatar.
