Qatar Foundation signs agreement to broaden school network.

The Qatar Foundation has signed an agreement with two local companies, Al Asmakh Real Estate Development and Khaled Bin Nasser Hamad Al Thani Group Holding, to create the Tariq Bin Ziad Preparatory and Secondary Schools in Education City. These new schools will offer a blend of Qatari heritage and academic excellence, catering to children up to the age of 18 and complementing the existing Tariq Bin Ziad School. The new buildings will consist of separate facilities for boys and girls, equipped with classrooms, art studios, sports halls, playgrounds, and science labs, creating a comprehensive environment for both students and staff.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalid Nasser Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of KBN Group Holding, expressed his excitement about the partnership with Qatar Foundation and their commitment to advancing education in Qatar. He emphasized the importance of investing in education as a means of equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the modern era and contribute to the development of society. The collaboration between the Qatar Foundation and the two local companies reflects a dedication to building a world-class educational infrastructure that empowers future generations.

Abeer Al Khalifa, President of Qatar Foundation’s Pre-University Education, highlighted the expansion of Tariq Bin Ziyad School as a significant milestone in the foundation’s journey towards building a distinguished knowledge-based society. The addition of preparatory and secondary schools will solidify the school’s position as a leading educational institution that combines academic excellence with a deep connection to Qatar’s national identity. This expansion will provide new opportunities for a larger number of students to benefit from innovative educational programs focused on critical thinking, creativity, and national pride, aiming to prepare a generation of qualified leaders who will drive progress in Qatar.
