This one spot increase comes as the team eagerly anticipates participating in the Asian third-round qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in September. The ranking is influenced by the numerous matches that took place in June and July, including continental championships and friendly games, totaling 125 matches played worldwide.

Despite the recent shake-up in the rankings, Argentina managed to maintain its top position after winning the 2024 Copa America. Following closely behind is France in the 2nd position after being eliminated in the UEFA Euro 2024 semi-finals. Notable improvements were seen within the top 50, with Turkiye and Venezuela making significant progress by jumping to the 26th and 37th spots, respectively.

In addition to Turkiye and Venezuela, Panama also made a notable leap in the rankings, moving up to the 35th position. Canada also experienced an increase, rising to 40th place. New Zealand has made a comeback to the top 100 after a seven-year absence, securing the 94th spot with an impressive gain of 13 positions.
