The State of Qatar, under the representation of the Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), attended the 54th regular session of the Arab Information Ministers Council in Bahrain. Sheikh Ahmed bin Thani Al-Thani led Qatar’s delegation in discussions revolving around strengthening collaborative media efforts and their impact on supporting important Arab causes, particularly the Palestinian issue. The QMC actively participated in various meetings, including the Permanent Committee for Arab Media and the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers Council.

During the meetings, the attendees focused on ways to improve joint media work within the Arab region and its significance in advocating for just causes. The Palestinian issue remained a central topic of discussion, highlighting the importance of media support in raising awareness and promoting solidarity with the Palestinian people. Additionally, various media-related issues at the Arab level were addressed to enhance cooperation and coordination among Arab countries in the media sector.

The QMC played a key role in the discussions, with HE Abdulrahman bin Nasser Al Obaidan, Media Advisor to the Corporation, leading the meeting of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media. The Corporation’s active participation demonstrates Qatar’s commitment to promoting effective media partnerships and advancing media initiatives that contribute to regional development and stability.

Participating in the 19th regular session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Information Ministers Council on Tuesday, the QMC continued to engage in fruitful discussions aimed at enhancing media cooperation and fostering a unified approach to addressing key regional challenges. The Corporation’s involvement underscores Qatar’s dedication to advancing media excellence and advocating for media freedom and responsibility within the Arab region.

Overall, Qatar’s participation in the Arab Information Ministers Council meetings reaffirms its commitment to enhancing regional media cooperation and promoting solidarity around pressing Arab issues. By actively engaging in discussions and sharing expertise, Qatar’s delegation led by Sheikh Ahmed bin Thani Al-Thani showcased the country’s ongoing efforts to support just causes and strengthen media partnerships within the Arab world. Through collaborative initiatives and shared goals, Qatar aims to contribute to a more integrated and resilient media landscape in the region.
