The Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) in Saudi Arabia has played a crucial role in empowering Saudi citizens and supporting the private sector in the country. According to HADAF Director General Turki Al-Jawini, the fund has helped in the hiring of approximately 294,000 Saudis by private sector establishments during the first 9 months of the year. This has brought the total number of Saudi citizens benefiting from HADAF’s programs and products to 1.7 million.

Al-Jawini highlighted that HADAF has invested a significant amount of SR5.48 billion ($1.5 billion) in training, orientation, and empowerment support programs during the same period. The fund has supported about 139,000 establishments across all regions of the Kingdom, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing the skills of young Saudi men and women and increasing their participation in the labor market. HADAF also aims to encourage the private sector to play a greater role in the localization of jobs and to strengthen partnerships with various entities involved in training, employing, and empowering national cadres.

The new strategy adopted by HADAF has been effective in maximizing the impact of its programs and services for both individuals and establishments. Al-Jawini emphasized the fund’s dedication to keeping pace with the changes in the labor market, meeting its demands, and addressing the needs and priorities of various sectors. By developing training support, empowerment, and guidance programs for national cadres, HADAF is contributing to the goals set out in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing human capabilities and the labor market strategy.

The efforts of HADAF are in line with the development boom witnessed across all sectors in the Kingdom. The fund remains focused on empowering Saudi men and women, increasing their competitiveness and sustainability in the labor market, and promoting their participation in the workforce. By working closely with relevant stakeholders, HADAF is able to tailor its programs to meet the specific needs of different industries and sectors, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and development of the country.

The success of HADAF’s initiatives in supporting the private sector and empowering national cadres is evident in the significant number of Saudi citizens who have been able to secure employment through the fund’s programs. By providing training, orientation, and empowerment support, HADAF is not only enhancing the skills of individuals but also strengthening the capabilities of establishments across the Kingdom. This, in turn, contributes to the overall objective of reducing unemployment rates, increasing productivity, and driving economic growth in Saudi Arabia.

In conclusion, the Human Resources Development Fund in Saudi Arabia has been instrumental in bridging the gap between the private sector and Saudi job seekers. Through its strategic programs and initiatives, HADAF has succeeded in empowering a large number of Saudi citizens and encouraging the private sector to play a more active role in employing and supporting national cadres. As the Kingdom continues to progress towards achieving the objectives outlined in Vision 2030, the efforts of HADAF will be crucial in developing human capabilities and strengthening the labor market for sustainable growth and prosperity.
