Pakistani Mango Festival at Souq Waqif Ends with Sales of Over 200,000 Kilos

The recently concluded Pakistan Mango Festival at Souq Waqif ‘Al Hamba’ in Doha, Qatar, was a huge success with a total of 225,929 kilograms of mangoes and mango products sold. The 10-day exhibition, which ran from June 27 to July 6, featured products from 50 companies across 100 stalls. Visitors to the festival were able to enjoy a variety of Pakistani mangoes such as Sindhri, Chaunsa, and Safeed Chaunsa, as well as other seasonal fruits like falsa, jamun, and peaches.

Khalid Saif Al Suwaidi, the General Supervisor of the festival, expressed his gratitude for the success of the event, stating that the record number of mangoes sold was a testament to the hard work of those involved. He highlighted the diverse range of attendees at the festival, including citizens, residents, and tourists from Arab Gulf countries and Europe. Al Suwaidi also mentioned that the festival provided a unique experience for attendees who were able to purchase the finest Pakistani mangoes, which were flown in daily specifically for the exhibition.

Reflecting on the past experiences with similar exhibitions, Al Suwaidi promised even better versions of the festival in the future. He invited attendees to look forward to the upcoming local date festival, which is scheduled to be held at the end of the month. The success of the Pakistan Mango Festival showcases the popularity of Pakistani mangoes in Qatar and the region, as well as the growing interest in exotic fruits among residents and tourists alike.
