Oman participates in UNESCO Executive Board meetings

The Sultanate of Oman is actively participating in the 220th session of the Executive Board of UNESCO in Paris. Ambassador Amna Salim Rashid Al Balushi, the Permanent Representative of Oman to UNESCO, is representing the Omani side at the meeting, which will continue until October 23, 2024. In her address to the council, Al Balushi emphasized Oman’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace, security, and stability globally. She highlighted the importance of fostering dialogue, tolerance, and respecting human rights, urging UNESCO to strengthen programs that promote intercultural dialogue and combat hate.

The 220th session of the Executive Board is being attended by representatives from 58 member states, including Oman, whose membership will last until 2027.
