The US Ambassador-at-Large to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, Cindy Dyer, met with Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs in Muscat. During the meeting, they discussed the ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and the cooperation between the United States and Oman in this important field.

Both countries are committed to addressing the issue of human trafficking, which is a serious global concern that affects vulnerable individuals around the world. By working together and sharing information and resources, Oman and the United States can strengthen their efforts to combat this crime and protect victims.

Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy and Cindy Dyer also discussed ways to enhance collaboration and coordination between their respective governments and agencies. This includes exchanging best practices, providing training and capacity building initiatives, and supporting awareness campaigns to educate the public about the dangers of human trafficking.

The United States and Oman have long-standing partnerships in various areas, including security, trade, and regional stability. Strengthening their cooperation in combating human trafficking further underscores the close relationship between the two countries and their shared commitment to promoting human rights and protecting vulnerable populations.

As part of their joint efforts, Oman and the United States will continue to work together to identify and dismantle trafficking networks, prosecute traffickers, and provide assistance to victims. By pooling their resources and expertise, they can make a greater impact in combating this crime and ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice.

Overall, the meeting between Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy and Cindy Dyer highlights the collaborative efforts between Oman and the United States in combating human trafficking.
