Nomas Centre, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is offering a unique opportunity for youth to experience a sea trip on board the “Nomas Dhow” in order to promote values, strengthen national identity, and educate them about authentic Qatari heritage. The trip, which is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, will be a one-day mini-educational camp on board a traditional ship called a “Sanbuk”. This initiative aims to provide students and children aged 8 to 14 with a range of cultural, educational, and recreational activities to enhance their skills and encourage them to engage in marine heritage activities.

Ghanem Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, Director of Nomas Centre, emphasized the importance of the sea trip in instilling values and strengthening national identity among the youth. He pointed out that activities during the trip will focus on developing skills and abilities in students and children, as well as encouraging them to rely on themselves. The program, running from 9am to 5pm, will aim to create a fun and educational environment for participants to learn about Qatari heritage through engaging experiences on the “Nomas Dhow”.

Participants of the sea trip on the “Nomas Dhow” will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in various cultural, educational, and recreational activities. This unique experience will not only allow them to learn about authentic Qatari heritage but also develop a deeper appreciation for their country’s traditions. By targeting students and children aged 8 to 14, the program seeks to foster a sense of pride and connection to their national identity, while also encouraging them to actively participate in marine heritage activities.

By boarding the “Nomas Dhow”, participants will have the chance to engage in activities that highlight the rich history and beauty of the country. Through hands-on learning and interactive experiences, students and children will be able to develop their skills and abilities in a fun and engaging environment, while also gaining a deeper understanding of their cultural roots.

In addition to the cultural and educational aspects of the sea trip, participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy recreational activities on board the “Sanbuk”. From navigating the waters to participating in traditional marine heritage activities, students and children will have a full day of fun-filled experiences that promote teamwork, leadership, and creativity.
