Exciting casting updates for Doctor Who were announced at San Diego Comic-Con during the Into the Whoniverse panel. Jonah Hauer-King, known for his role in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, will be joining the cast for the upcoming season. Hauer-King’s character will be a significant part of the storyline involving Ruby Sunday. Additionally, Nicola Coughlan, celebrated for her role in Netflix’s Bridgerton, will be featured in the Doctor Who Christmas special as Joy, a determined woman whose life is forever changed by the Doctor.
