Brazilian forward Neymar has returned to full training with Saudi club Al Hilal nearly a year after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus injury in his left knee during a national team match. Neymar, who joined Al Hilal in August 2023 from Paris Saint-Germain, was limited to just five appearances due to his injury. The Brazil captain shared his excitement about being back on the field with his teammates and training under coach Jorge Jesus. However, Neymar’s return to matches will depend on his technical readiness and the coach’s decision.

While Neymar has not yet been registered for the local league this season, he is included in Al Hilal’s AFC Champions League squad, allowing him to participate in the elite continental competition. Coach Jesus previously stated that Neymar would not be ready for competitive matches until at least September. Despite Neymar’s absence, Al Hilal has continued to perform well, winning all domestic titles last season, including the league, without a single defeat. The team also achieved a historic 34-match winning streak before being defeated by UAE’s Al Ain in the AFC Champions League semifinals.

Brazil national team coach Dorival Júnior has stated that Neymar will only be recalled to the squad once he is fully fit. Neymar, who underwent surgery following his knee injury and missed the Copa America tournament, is being given the necessary time to fully recover. Dorival emphasized the importance of Neymar’s return to the national team, stating that having one of the greatest football players in the world during a crucial period in his career will greatly benefit the team. Brazil is currently in fifth place in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Neymar’s journey back to full fitness and competitive play has been closely monitored by fans and supporters of Al Hilal and the Brazil national team. The forward’s return to training with his club signifies a significant milestone in his recovery from a serious knee injury. As Neymar continues to progress in his rehabilitation, his return to competitive matches is eagerly awaited by football fans around the world. The anticipation of seeing Neymar back on the field showcasing his skills and talent is high, as he is considered one of the best players in the world.

Despite Neymar’s injury setback, Al Hilal has maintained a strong performance on the pitch, winning domestic titles and showcasing a remarkable winning streak in the previous season. The team’s success in Neymar’s absence highlights the depth and talent of the squad, with players stepping up to fill the void left by the star forward. Neymar’s eventual return to matches will undoubtedly provide a significant boost to Al Hilal and enhance their chances of success in upcoming competitions.

As Neymar continues his training and rehabilitation with Al Hilal, the support and patience of fans and the coaching staff are crucial in ensuring his full recovery. The importance of Neymar to both Al Hilal and the Brazil national team cannot be understated, and his return to full fitness will be a major milestone for both clubs. With the World Cup qualifiers on the horizon, Neymar’s return to competitive play will be eagerly awaited by fans and supporters, as they look forward to seeing him back in action and making a significant impact on the field.
