Dubai, UAE 17 December 2025: As the holiday season approaches, leaving pets home alone becomes a growing security concern for owners across the UAE. According to a new study by Ring, in collaboration with YouGov, 70% of UAE pet owners feel anxious when away from their pets, while 83% believe it’s important to monitor them when they’re not at home.

The study, which explored pet ownership habits and security technology adoption across the UAE, highlights how pets have become valuable members of the household that owners want to protect, with 84% saying their pets improve their quality of life and 8 in 10 believing remote security monitoring strengthens their peace of mind.

Smart Home Security Creates Peace of Mind During Festive Season

The findings reveal that 88% of pet parents would feel more secure if they could check on their pets anytime, yet only 43% currently use any monitoring device. This gap shows a rising opportunity for smart security technology to provide home monitoring, safety verification, and protection for both pets and property during the holiday season and beyond.

Mohammad Meraj Hoda, VP of Business Development – Emerging Markets, Ring said:
“Our research shows how strongly UAE pet parents prioritize home security and pet monitoring, especially during busy holiday periods when they’re away. With Ring’s range of smart indoor and outdoor security cameras, they can maintain complete awareness of their home environment and verify their pets’ safety in real time, bringing security and peace of mind throughout the festive season and beyond.”

A Diverse Portfolio

Ring’s range of smart home security cameras, including the Indoor Pan Tilt Camera, Indoor Cam (2nd Gen) and Stick Up Cam, are designed precisely for comprehensive home monitoring. These devices allow pet owners to verify their pets’ safety in real time, receive security alerts for unexpected movement, and maintain home awareness directly through their phones, offering protection and monitoring wherever they are.

Expanding its lineup, Ring has recently launched the new Outdoor Camera with Retinal 4K, designed to deliver superior image clarity and advanced protection. The device features Retinal 4K resolution and up to 10x enhanced zoom, ensuring every detail is captured even from a distance. Equipped with Low-Light Sight and Adaptive Night Vision, the camera provides a clear picture even in total darkness, while 3D motion detection helps users accurately identify activity around their home.

With its 10x zoom and enhanced low-light performance, the Retinal 4K device reveals details even in the most challenging conditions. Retinal 4K technology doesn’t just capture what’s there, it brings it to life, providing a clear, true-to-life view that empowers users to experience their surroundings in a way that was previously impossible.
