Red Sea Global (RSG) has recently announced its plans to open a premier golf course and clubhouse named Shura Links on Shura Island in the Red Sea by 2025. This unique golf destination will feature Saudi Arabia’s first 18-hole golf course, offering stunning views of the marina and the beautiful Red Sea. The development of Shura Links will prioritize sustainability, with a focus on reducing water consumption and implementing innovative methods for reusing irrigation water to enhance natural habitats. CEO John Pagano expressed excitement for the project, emphasizing RSG’s commitment to environmental conservation through practices such as turf management and foliar feeding.

The clubhouse at Shura Links, designed by Foster and Partners, will follow a Coral Bloom design concept inspired by Saudi Arabia’s unique flora and fauna. Renowned golf architect Brian Curley has collaborated on the design of the par 72 Shura Links course, which spans 6,858 meters and offers multiple tees at each hole. The layout of the course is strategically designed to provide variety, playability, and memorability, with holes positioned alongside the coastline and others offering scenic sea views. Shura Links aims to cater to both beginner and seasoned players, with plans to host major events in the future.

Shura Links is set to become a top golfing destination in Saudi Arabia, offering an unparalleled golfing experience with a visually stunning and natural course on the Red Sea. The project represents RSG’s dedication to sustainability, with a strong emphasis on environmental conservation and responsible water usage. By incorporating innovative methods for reusing irrigation water and reducing water consumption, Shura Links aims to enhance natural habitats and promote eco-friendly practices in the golfing industry.

With its unique design inspired by Saudi Arabia’s flora and fauna, the clubhouse at Shura Links will provide a picturesque setting for golfers to relax and unwind after a day on the course. Designed to reflect the Coral Bloom concept, the clubhouse will offer a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere for players and visitors. Additionally, the strategic layout of the Shura Links course will provide a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels, encouraging repeat visits and the hosting of major events in the future.

The collaboration between Foster and Partners, Brian Curley, and RSG Group ensures that Shura Links will be a world-class golf destination that combines stunning natural beauty with sustainable practices. By prioritizing environmental conservation and responsible water usage, Shura Links sets a new standard for golf course development in Saudi Arabia. Golf enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing a unique and unforgettable golfing experience at Shura Links, set against the backdrop of the Red Sea’s breathtaking views and natural surroundings.

In conclusion, the opening of Shura Links on Shura Island in the Red Sea by 2025 marks a significant milestone in the development of Saudi Arabia’s golfing industry. With its focus on sustainability, environmental conservation, and innovative design, Shura Links is poised to become a premier golf destination in the region. Golfers of all skill levels can look forward to experiencing a challenging and memorable round of golf at Shura Links, while also enjoying the stunning views and luxurious amenities offered by the clubhouse. As RSG Group continues to prioritize sustainability and responsible development, Shura Links represents a new chapter in the evolution of golf courses in Saudi Arabia.
