Activate, the region’s first active gaming experience, is set to open in September at City Centre Mirdif in Dubai. This cutting-edge facility, in partnership with Activate Games from Canada, combines gaming, physical activity, and entertainment in an immersive environment. With nine dynamic game rooms featuring cutting-edge technology that reacts in real time to players’ movements, Activate offers over 50 different games to test physical and mental agility.

One of the key attractions at Activate is Mega Grid, a TikTok viral sensation with more than 500 multi-activated coloured lights that players must interact with as they navigate through the room. Other high-tech games like Hoops, Strike, Portals, Press, Hide, and Control combine digital and physical activities to create a diverse range of challenges for players. The experience is designed for participants of all ages and skill levels, with up to 10 levels ranging from easy to extreme, allowing players to tailor their experience based on capabilities.

Players at Activate can choose to cooperate in teams or compete against each other in competitive mode, adding a social element to the gameplay. The scoreboard system allows players to track their progress and rise through the ranks. Additionally, each Activate facility is designed with identical game rooms, allowing players from different locations worldwide to compete, connect, and build friendships across the globe. This global connectivity enhances the overall gaming experience.

Activate, originally founded in Winnipeg, Canada, currently operates over 30 locations across North America and plans to open an additional 15 facilities this year. The City Centre Mirdif location in Dubai will be the first in the MENA region, introducing this global gaming phenomenon to the UAE. To experience this innovative concept for yourself, visit playactivatemena.com and book your tickets in advance to secure your spot at this exciting new gaming facility. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of the action at Activate in City Centre Mirdif.
