Lieutenant General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, Director General of Passports (Jawazat), recently visited NEOM, a groundbreaking sustainable development project in northwest Saudi Arabia. During his visit, he was welcomed by NEOM’s CEO, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, and had the opportunity to tour NEOM Bay Airport, as well as its advanced command-and-control center and other key facilities.

One of the highlights of Al-Yahya’s visit was the review of the latest innovations at NEOM Bay Airport, including the upcoming contactless eGates that are currently under trial. These eGates utilize high-resolution cameras to capture travelers’ biometrics for streamlined passport control, promising a seamless travel experience for international visitors. This cutting-edge technology positions Saudi Arabia as one of the few countries implementing advanced automated border control systems.

The visit also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between NEOM and Jawazat, with a focus on enhancing the traveler experience through knowledge exchange and the integration of cutting-edge technologies. This collaboration includes the use of AI-driven real-time analytics and predictive systems in NEOM’s security operations, further enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of border control processes.

The partnership between NEOM and Jawazat aims to leverage the latest technologies to provide a world-class experience for travelers visiting the region. By implementing advanced automated border control systems and utilizing AI-driven analytics, NEOM is setting a new standard for efficient and secure passport control processes in Saudi Arabia.

Overall, Al-Yahya’s visit to NEOM underscores the commitment to innovation and collaboration in advancing sustainable development in Saudi Arabia. The integration of cutting-edge technologies in passport control processes not only enhances the traveler experience but also reflects the country’s dedication to creating a secure and efficient environment for international visitors.

In conclusion, the collaboration between NEOM and Jawazat highlights the importance of leveraging technology and innovation to create a seamless travel experience and enhance security measures. By implementing advanced automated border control systems and utilizing AI-driven analytics, NEOM is leading the way in setting new standards for efficient and secure passport control processes in Saudi Arabia.
